Meet Dr. Riley Steed
Dr. Riley Steed, DDS, is a dentist dedicated to helping children feel comfortable,
confident, and cared for during every stage of their dental journey.
A Passion for Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Riley’s passion for pediatric dentistry comes from his love of working with children
and helping them build positive experiences at the dentist from an early age. He
understands that a child’s first dental visits can shape how they feel about oral health for
years to come, and he strives to create an environment where children feel safe,
supported, and even excited to return.
Known for his calm and patient approach, Dr. Riley particularly enjoys helping nervous
or anxious children feel comfortable in the dental chair. He believes that building trust
and creating positive experiences are just as important as providing excellent dental
care.
Education and Training
Dr. Riley earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of
Alberta in 2024. He then completed a Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the University at
Buffalo in 2026, where he received specialized training in caring for infants, children,
adolescents, and patients with unique healthcare needs.
His advanced training focused on child development, behavior guidance, preventive
care, and comprehensive pediatric dental treatment, allowing him to provide
compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each child’s individual needs.
A Child-Centered Philosophy
Dr. Riley believes that every child deserves to feel respected, heard, and comfortable
during their dental visit. He takes the time to build rapport with each patient, explain
procedures in age-appropriate ways, and work at a pace that helps children feel
confident and successful.
His goal is not only to provide excellent dental treatment but also to help children
develop healthy habits and positive attitudes toward oral health that will last a lifetime.
Life Outside the Office
Outside the office, Dr. Riley enjoys spending time with his wife and their three
children—a son and two daughters. As a family, they love visiting Waterton, hiking,
exploring new cities, and making memories together. He is also an avid golfer and
enjoys collecting Pokémon cards with his kids.
